The Reima BugProof finish contains a mildly scented insect repellent against mosquitoes and ticks. Its effectiveness is based on citronella extract, which contains geraniol (a biocide). The repellent is added to the fabric during the surface finishing process, and its effectiveness lasts for over 50 washes. The extract has a very subtle, pleasant lemon scent that many insects, such as ticks and mosquitoes, cannot tolerate.
