The abstract works in the joint exhibition by Outi Antila and Lahja Kumpula bring a breath of spring.

In Outi Antila’s paintings, a simplified style and the tension between colors are emphasized. She builds her works by breaking down forms and reorganizing them, focusing on complementary colors, rhythm, and a clear overall composition.

Lahja Kumpula’s intuitive paintings often arise from the physical movement created by an image and feeling that forms in the mind. She draws inspiration from nature and encounters with people. The works are built layer by layer through warm tones and freely expressive techniques.
